Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of North Texas in psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I have an immense amount of experience working with individuals from all walks of life. I am experienced in therapeutic work with anxiety, depression, stress, self-injurious behaviors, trauma, psychosis, substance abuse, familial conflict, and grief.
Using a conversational style, I encourage the processing of negative thinking patterns, problem-solving, and real-life interventions for you to experience change. I have adopted an approach to therapy that encompasses CBT and DBT.
Therapy is hard, all of us here at BetterHelp understand that. You may feel worse before you start to feel better. THAT IS NORMAL! You’re kicking up emotions that you’ve worked hard to avoid for a long time. They will not be comfortable, and they will leave you with the urge to run to what you know. Know that the intensity of these emotions is TEMPORARY and the more you process through them the more manageable they will become.
Don’t let the fear of change keep you from doing something positive for yourself. I do greatly look forward to working with you!
My current availability for video sessions:
Monday – Friday – 30 minute slots available but times are subject to change on a weekly basis
Saturdays – Unavailable
Sundays – Unavailable
For chat and phone sessions – there will be more flexibility regarding availability. I will do the best to work with your requests.
I try to schedule standing weekly appointments with each client to provide consistency!
Some days responses to messages will be quicker than other. Please allow 4-24 hours for a response. On weekends, response times will vary.

Kynan Kinley is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Texas who blends professional training with a warm, practical approach. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from The University of North Texas and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, and he carries a Texas counseling license (TX LPC 77062).
With five years of clinical experience, Kynan has worked with people from many backgrounds and is experienced addressing anxiety, depression, stress, self-injurious behaviors, trauma, psychosis, substance abuse, familial conflict, grief, and a wide range of other concerns. His specialties also include addictions, self esteem, LGBT issues, relationship and family conflicts, intimacy-related and parenting issues, anger management, career difficulties, and bipolar disorder.
He uses an approach informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), encouraging clients to examine unhelpful thought patterns, practice problem-solving, and apply real-life interventions that support measurable change. Kynan is transparent about the work of therapy—he acknowledges it can be difficult and that people often feel worse before they begin to feel better. Those intensified emotions are described as temporary, and processing them can make them more manageable over time.
Kynan aims to offer flexible access to care. Video sessions are typically available Monday through Friday in 30-minute slots, although times may shift from week to week; he is unavailable on Saturdays and Sundays. Phone and chat sessions offer greater scheduling flexibility, and he strives to accommodate client requests. He prefers to schedule standing weekly appointments to provide consistency, and he asks clients to allow 4 to 24 hours for message responses on most days, with response times varying on weekends.
He invites individuals who are ready to face change to take a step toward better well-being and looks forward to working with new clients.
Many people wonder whether therapy delivered online can truly help. For common challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or major life transitions, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most typical concerns.
One of the clearest benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that suits them best, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to access support from wherever one is located.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be helpful. Online therapy can offer a practical, accessible way to work through everyday mental health needs and life challenges with professional support.
