About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 6 years experience treating addictions in the state of Idaho. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed by the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses (LPC#6747), and a Licensed Social Worker (LSW# 24010). I am a member of the American Counseling Association and abide by both the Idaho Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics.

I have 13 years experience as a first responder, 10 years experience with the child welfare system, LGBTQ+ clients, and most recently, working with those suffering from addictions. Starting counseling is a major decision and I strongly believe you should feel comfortable with the therapist you choose and hopeful about therapy. As a counselor, I am committed to serving clients by partnering with them in working towards healthy change, development, and growth. This will involve exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviors and taking action to achieve positive change.

My therapeutic approach is client centered and compassionate. I incorporate a variety of evidence based treatment modalities tailored to meet your therapeutic needs. The types of therapy I offer include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Problem-Solving, Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I view therapy as a partnership between counselor and client and look forward to working with you!

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.

One of the main benefits is the flexibility it provides. Clients can meet with their therapist in whatever format feels best – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to fit counseling into a busy schedule.

These services are delivered by licensed professionals, and individuals always have the option to change therapists if they want a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical, accessible way to get support for everyday mental health needs and life transitions.
