Darlene Wilken

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am dually certified as a mental health (LPC) and substance abuse counselor (SAC) and have been working in the field for six years. I began working in inpatient treatment working with addiction and mental health with adults over the age of 18. I am currently working in a methadone clinic with individuals suffering from opiate addictions and even though we do not specialize in addiction I am given those who have been diagnosed with mental health issues as well. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including bipolar, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, and ADHD. I have also helped those who have experienced physical trauma and emotional abuse.
My therapy style is warm and interactive, I believe in treating everyone with utmost respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach to treatment combines mindfulness, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, person centered, and solution focused therapies. I will tailor your treatment plan to meet your specific and unique needs.
I look forward to working with you!

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether working with a therapist online can truly help. For a variety of common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes – online therapy is generally comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.

One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect with licensed professionals in the format that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to fit regular sessions into a busy schedule.

Therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and clients may choose to switch therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy can be a practical option for many people seeking support for everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
