Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a licensed therapist located in Southern Maryland. I have been practicing therapy for over ten years, first working for a nonprofit agency, now in private practice. I have two masters degrees (MA: English, William and Mary; MS: Counseling, Johns Hopkins). At my previous position, I worked with both children and adults. My primary theoretical orientations are Rogerian (Client Centered), and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). My empathetic nature, listening skills, and practical suggestions have led to successful outcomes with my clients throughout my counseling career. I taught English and Latin in a public high school for over thirty years prior to my counseling career. I have two grown, married children. My personal interests include reading, photography, music, and spending time with my one year old golden retriever, Henry.

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online really helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is convenience and flexibility. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit counseling into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals deliver care through these remote formats, and clients are free to switch therapists if they decide a different fit would work better. Online therapy can be a practical option for those seeking consistent support for everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
