Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Are you feeling empty, alone, detached, anxious or misunderstood? As an integrative psychotherapist, licensed in NY and NJ, therapeutic inquiry begins with the assumption that I know nothing about your life experiences or how you make sense of them. Through inquiry, attunement and involvement we will discover together where you have experienced early interruptions in significant interpersonal relationships and how it has impacted your sense of self and adult life. These interruptions and misses are often experienced as depression, anxiety, compulsions, fears or agitation and often interfere with a sense of self and the development of healthy adult relationships.
I offer empathic understanding in the context of honesty and respect with a supportive therapeutic inquiry that provides the safety to drop defenses, to feel, to remember, to experience and to integrate all that you truly are and can become. This is the ongoing process of integrative psychotherapy.
As a Clinical Social Worker I believe that ongoing supervision and training are a vital part of our professional development and continue to learn and grow through attendance at workshops, seminars and trainings. I look forward to hearing from you.

Elizbeth Keeney is an integrative psychotherapist licensed to practice as a clinical social worker in both New York and New Jersey, and she brings 30 years of clinical experience to her work in New Jersey.
Her therapeutic stance begins from the simple assumption that she does not yet know a person’s life story or how they make sense of it. Through careful inquiry, attunement, and active involvement she and the client explore where early interruptions in important interpersonal relationships occurred and how those interruptions have shaped a person’s sense of self and their adult life. Those relational misses often show up as depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, fears, or agitation and can interfere with self-cohesion and the development of healthy adult relationships.
She offers empathic understanding grounded in honesty and respect, providing a supportive therapeutic inquiry that creates the safety to lower defenses, to feel, to remember, to experience, and to integrate the parts of oneself that have been fragmented. This ongoing process is central to integrative psychotherapy.
As a clinical social worker she values continuing education and regular professional supervision, and she continues to learn through workshops, seminars, and trainings. She welcomes inquiries from prospective clients and looks forward to hearing from them.
