Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
A part of each person already knows the solution to the issues that arise. Often that part has gone into hiding because of trauma that has occurred. It takes courage and sometimes a trusting relationship to allow that part to share. My name is Helen Cook. I’m a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania.
I have worked with adolescents, couples and adults during my 12 years as a counselor. My training as a nurse with 21 years in the Army, a biology teacher for 11 years and a WW (Weight Watchers) coach for 20 years has also impacted my counseling skills. Working with couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), training in EMDR, Brainspotting and hypnotherapy have given me many tools to help others.
Mind-Body connection is also very important and I strive to identify and work this connection as often as necessary to help people heal.

Helen Cook is a licensed counselor who brings 17 years of professional experience to her work with adolescents, couples, and adults. She is licensed to practice as a mental health counselor in Florida and as a professional counselor in Pennsylvania, and she applies that training to help people navigate stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma and abuse, parenting challenges, anger, grief, and other life transitions.
Her earlier career roles have shaped a broad, practical approach to care. Helen served as a nurse in the Army, taught biology for over a decade, and spent many years as a Weight Watchers coach. Those varied experiences contribute to her ability to meet clients where they are and to draw on both clinical and real-world skills when supporting change.
Helen works with couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and has additional training in EMDR, Brainspotting, and hypnotherapy, giving her a range of evidence-informed tools to support recovery and growth. She values the mind-body connection and looks for opportunities to address physical and emotional interactions as part of the healing process.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
One of the main benefits is convenience. Clients can choose the format that best fits their needs – video sessions, phone conversations, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to stay consistent with treatment.
Licensed professionals provide care remotely, and clients who want a different fit may switch therapists at any time. For everyday mental health needs, online therapy offers flexible access to trained therapists and an effective option for pursuing support and growth.
