Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
With a background in Psychology, Gerontology, and Social Work, I specialize in providing psychotherapy for families, individuals, couples and more mature populations. I have supported people with and through PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, end-of-life, chronic illnesses, medical conditions, personality disorders, intimate betrayal, attachment/family of origin and more.
Being mindful of individual differences, I provide a safe environment that is welcoming and peaceful for all clients. In a non-judgmental approach, through exploration in life review, we will identify areas of repeated undesirable patterns that are negatively impacting your own functioning and others. Together, we’ll work on developing a better understanding of how the area of concern is impacting your life. We’ll build knowledge about how it impacts you physiologically and emotionally and then develop ways to help you with it. With a calming presence, I’ll be there to support you through your journey of life.

Connie Toavs brings a decade of clinical experience and a multidisciplinary background in psychology, gerontology, and social work to her psychotherapy practice in Minnesota. She works with families, individuals, couples, and more mature populations, offering care informed by her training and practical experience.
She has supported people through a wide range of concerns, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, end-of-life issues, chronic illness and medical conditions, personality disorders, intimate betrayal, and attachment and family-of-origin difficulties. Her practice addresses both acute challenges and long-standing patterns that affect daily functioning and relationships.
Mindful of individual differences, Connie creates a welcoming, peaceful, and non-judgmental environment for all clients. Using life review and collaborative exploration, she helps identify repeated patterns that may be undermining well-being and relationships. Together with each client she builds understanding of how concerns affect them physically and emotionally, and develops practical approaches to manage those impacts. As a licensed clinical social worker in both Wisconsin and Minnesota, Connie aims to offer a calming presence and steady support throughout the therapeutic journey.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can meet with a therapist in the format that works best for them, whether by video, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to continue care during changes in life circumstance.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and if a different fit is desired it is possible to change providers. Online therapy can be an effective and practical option for many people seeking support for everyday mental health concerns.
