Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello and Welcome! My name is Eden Bonsonto. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois and I have been practicing for over 20 years. I have an extensive history working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families in multiple practice settings including hospitals, schools, behavioral health, and private practice. I have focused on crisis intervention, peer support with Police/Fire/EMS, trauma and grief, life changes and adjustment, parenting issues, and mental health. I am also very experienced working with children and families throughout the special education continuum, and have assisted in advocating for IEP and 504 services.
I believe you are the expert on your own life and I want to provide you with a safe and respectful environment where you can address the issues that have brought you to BetterHelp. I am aware that not one therapeutic methodology fits all clients equally. It is my goal to build a strong relationship with you, where I can use an eclectic approach that combines a strengths based and solution focused perspective with Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities, to assist you in becoming your healthiest happiest self.
It is important to me that you feel connected and that you are receiving the assistance you need. I check my messages daily and I am available via video sessions, live chat, phone sessions, and messaging.
I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you.

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is the flexibility it offers. Clients can connect in whatever format feels most comfortable, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That range of options can make it simpler to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch providers at any time if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. Online therapy can be a practical, effective way to access professional support for many everyday mental health concerns.
