My name is Maritza. I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 10 years, and have been working with veterans, spouses, and staff. I have over 20 years of counseling experience. Prior to licensing my experience I worked with domestic violence survivors, individuals in shelter placement, seniors and children. I am a down-to-earth counselor. My strongest attribute is my ability to connect to others. I utilize numerous modalities including but not limited to Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Supportive therapy and Narrative therapy techniques in my counseling sessions. I always tell my colleagues that I speak English. I like for my clients to feel comfortable and not feel as they are speaking to a robot or a counselor that utilizes ivy league vernacular. I am a spiritual individual and I am guided during my counseling sessions with the purpose of helping others get through the obstacles that they are facing in their lives. I will respond as expeditiously as possible to all messages. On rare occasions, I may not be available but will follow up with emergencies as they arise.
