Kristen Hagin is a licensed mental health counselor who holds a master’s degree from Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska and is dually licensed to practice in both Nebraska and Washington. She brings 17 years of clinical experience working with individuals across community behavioral health, youth-focused services, and most recently within a primary care physician setting.
Kristen favors Motivational Interviewing and a Person-Centered approach, and she works with each person to design an individualized plan that fits their needs. She supports clients in learning evidence-based skills and techniques to process traumatic experiences, build resilience, pursue personal growth, and cultivate healthier, more sustainable relationships.
For some people the priority is a structured skills plan; for others a simple emotional outlet is what helps most. Kristen is available to listen and provide supportive guidance, meeting clients wherever they are in their journey toward greater well-being.
She offers a variety of video, phone, chat, and messaging appointment times and is willing to accommodate scheduling preferences when possible. Video, phone, and chat session availability includes Monday 7–9am, Wednesday mornings 7–9am, Friday from 7am–5pm, and Saturday from 12pm–5pm. Chat sessions are also available during any of these times and on Monday–Friday evenings from 5pm–10pm; clients are asked to message to schedule evening chat sessions. If the posted availability does not match a client’s needs, Kristen remains open to finding a mutually convenient time.
Many people wonder whether virtual therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care for most individuals.
One of the key benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that fits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists who provide online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change providers if they feel a different therapeutic fit would be beneficial. For many people, remote therapy offers a practical, effective way to address everyday mental health needs and personal growth goals.
