I am an experienced integrative counsellor, this means I can use different modalities and approaches to suit your needs. I have a relaxed and an empathic approach during therapy and feel that the most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship with my clients. I have worked in an education setting for many years, which gave me the opportunity to work in a diverse environment, I feel this experience has has enriched my skill set over the years and has enabled me to work with people from all walks of life.
I believe that we are all experts of our own stories and that we have many strengths which can help us overcome our difficulties, but sometimes we feel like we are stuck and can’t move forward with our lives. Taking the first step to reach out for help shows courage and determination to work on those difficulties, to get to a more fulfilling and happier life.
My counselling style is relaxed and not pressured, I create a safe space where I work collaboratively with my clients to reach their goals, during this time we will explore and unpack difficult feelings and emotions. We can also work through difficult life events to enable you to make sense of your difficulties which can be confusing and distressing.
