Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Person centred Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor. I offer online and telephone counselling and work with adult clients.
Life can be really tough. Sometimes we just need some support.
I offer a safe space for you to speak about anything that may be on your mind. Whether its from your past history or the present, sometimes the way we view ourselves may be holding us back. We may feel overwhelmed, have lost sight of what we value, or perhaps we are finding it hard to see meaning in the life we live. We can work together to help you to gain clarity and self-awareness. I work with your strengths and use empathy, kindness, and non-judgment to empower you. But most essentially, I offer you a space to feel heard.
I believe that everybody is an individual, so I work in an Integrative way. This means I take a holistic view of whatever pressing issues are presented in our sessions and incorporate different therapeutic approaches and interventions to tailor best to you.
I also work with adult students in Further Education and Higher Education, who may be facing exam stress, relationship issues, homesickness, procrastination, debt, problem gambling, substance misuse, and adapting to student life with long-term illness or disability.
Allow yourself the opportunity to identify that you are valued. You have purpose, you matter, you are seen and you are heard.

Yvette Simmons is a person centred Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor who provides online and telephone counselling for adult clients.
She offers a safe, non-judgemental space for people to talk about things that may be troubling them, whether those concerns come from past experiences or current life circumstances. When someone feels overwhelmed, disconnected from their values, or struggles to find meaning, she works with them to build clarity and self-awareness.
Working in an integrative way, Yvette takes a holistic view of the issues presented in sessions and brings together different therapeutic approaches to suit each individual. She emphasises clients’ strengths and uses empathy, kindness, and a non-judgemental stance to support and empower them, with the aim of ensuring they feel heard.
Yvette also supports adult students in Further Education and Higher Education who are dealing with exam stress, relationship issues, homesickness, procrastination, debt, problem gambling, substance misuse, or adapting to student life with a long-term illness or disability. She invites people to recognise that they are valued, that they have purpose, and that they are seen and heard.
Online therapy can be an effective option for many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes. Research and practice indicate that, for these issues, remote sessions can offer outcomes comparable to traditional face-to-face therapy.
One clear benefit is the flexibility it provides – people can meet with a therapist in the format that suits them best, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it simpler to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to choose the mode of communication that feels most comfortable.
Each therapist involved in online work is a licensed professional, and if someone feels they would prefer a different match, it is possible to switch therapists. For many people, the combination of accessibility, choice of communication, and professional support makes online therapy a practical and effective avenue for addressing everyday mental health and wellbeing concerns.
