Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a counselling therapist based in the UK with a diverse range of experiences and training. I am Adlerian trained which considers our lifestyle, family environment, childhood experiences and memories and how this plays a part in our adult life.
In my practise, my therapeutic style and approach draw on a variety of techniques and theories, including talking therapy (person centred), creative and metaphorical techniques, drawing and talking and phototherapy. I believe in tailoring the approach to you, ensuring that you feel empowered and supported in your therapeutic journey, using techniques and strategies to explore, express and deepen the therapeutic process which enables you to engage, gain awareness and understanding whilst being supported in a confidential, safe space.
In addition to my traditional counselling training, I am also trained in holistic practices such as yoga, laughter yoga, and mindfulness, which I can incorporate into sessions to provide clients with a well-rounded approach to mental well-being. These techniques can help clients manage stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as enhance their overall sense of well-being.
My experience encompasses working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, depression, family dynamics, relationships, self-understanding, and exploring life goals. I approach each client with empathy, understanding, and a commitment to helping them navigate life’s challenges and achieve personal growth.
Furthermore, I have experience with military life which has provided me with unique insights and understanding that can be beneficial in working with clients who have served in the military, have family members in the military or are part of military family themselves. I am sensitive to the specific challenges and experiences that come with military life, and I am equipped to provide support and guidance in navigating these complexities.
Additionally, with a background in education, I am uniquely positioned to work with individuals of all ages, from children and adolescents to adults, in supporting their mental health and well-being. I believe in taking a holistic approach to therapy, considering the whole person and not just focusing on one aspect of your life. By drawing on my experience working with children and families, I am able to provide comprehensive support that addresses emotional, psychological, and social needs. This allows me to create a safe and nurturing environment for clients to explore thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and ultimately achieve a sense of balance and fulfillment. My aim is to encourage and empower you to overcome your challenges, have a greater sense of awareness and self and support you to reach your goals ultimately leading to a happier, healthier life.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am here to help you on your journey.
