Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
August 2025 marks my first month back with Betterhelp. I am so happy to return!
While I was away, I added Certified Neuro-Somatic Intelligence Coach, a discipline of nervous system care, to my skillset of Trauma Resilience Education. It has been a remarkable game-changer for many of my clients. My clients are pleased to acquire practices, on the first visit, to begin addressing the physical and emotional effects of trauma, anxiety and depression. Among other benefits, these tools make more energy available to focus on the thoughts and issues that may be associated with distress.
I have over 25 years of experience addressing relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I’ve also helped many people who have experienced childhood adversity, substance abuse, domestic violence, physical trauma and emotional abuse.
It is essential to my counseling style to honor your interests and strengths and struggles with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling… and a sense of humor doesn’t hurt.
I applaud your effort to seek support towards a more fulfilling and happier life. You will leave our sessions with gentle, restorative tools to practice throughout your day… and we will continue building.
I look forward to working with you!

In August 2025 Victor Jones returned to Betterhelp and is pleased to resume his work there. He combines a warm, respectful manner with clinical expertise to support people facing a wide range of life challenges.
While away, he added certification as a Neuro-Somatic Intelligence Coach, a discipline of nervous system care, to his existing Trauma Resilience Education skillset. He integrates these nervous-system-focused practices into early sessions so clients can begin addressing the physical and emotional effects of trauma, anxiety, and depression right away. These tools often free up energy to attend more directly to the thoughts and issues that contribute to distress.
Victor brings 30 years of clinical experience helping people with stress, anxiety, addictions, trauma and abuse, anger management, depression, relationship issues, family conflicts, grief, sleeping disorders, parenting concerns, self-esteem struggles, career difficulties, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, and ADHD. He has supported individuals who experienced childhood adversity, substance misuse, domestic violence, physical trauma, and emotional abuse.
His counseling style honors each person’s strengths and struggles with sensitivity and compassion. He blends cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive approaches and believes that a bit of humor can help the work go more smoothly. He is a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina and is qualified to provide clinical psychotherapy.
Victor applauds the effort it takes to seek support and aims to leave clients with gentle, restorative tools they can practice throughout their day while continuing to build on progress in subsequent sessions. He looks forward to working with individuals who are ready to pursue a more fulfilling and happier life.
