Welcome! My name is Traynette Jenkins-Reese, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment facilities, outpatient, in-home, and EAP counseling. I’ve had experience working with a broad range of clinical issues. My clientele have included people from various ethnic backgrounds, ages and socio-economic statues. I have the most experience working with family/relationship conflicts, trauma/abuse, depression, anxiety and intellectual/developmental disabilities, but have helped with a variety of other issues presented.
I use a person-centered approach in treatment. This means I begin where you are and tailor the treatment approach to your individual needs. I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling.
I would describe my style as warm, non-judgmental and supportive. I’m here to assist you in tackling the issues that you’ve been struggling to overcome. Collaboration is very important in the client/therapist relationship – together we can work on establishing steps to help you overcome your current issues.
