Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in Nebraska with 13 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients of all ages with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting issues, & depression. I also have experience with clients ages 4-18 years of age who struggle with severe behavior issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and challenges of life. I have worked with the parents/caregivers of varying ages with parenting concerns, life struggles, and trauma.
I have been described as patient, compassionate, and caring. I am straightforward, often clients have said our sessions are more like a conversation. I have an undergraduate degree in elementary education, and I say I like to sneak into therapy. Also, I must be a detective at times, and in conversation, I will often learn things I may not have otherwise because clients feel it is irrelevant. I can see patterns of behavior or possible triggers. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
My mission is to see clients be successful in achieving their goals not only in therapy but in life. I always say, “I am here to guide you, and you do all the hard work.” When goals are created, I make sure it is realistic, achievable, and short to start with, long-term goals will come when and if the client wishes to create them. I may push a bit but never outside of your comfort zone. I feel it is important, to be honest in therapy, to help keep clients in a comfortable and safe environment. If I recommend something and the client is not comfortable or knows they will not do it, being honest about it saves time and a different recommendation can be made.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Tracy Russell is licensed in Nebraska as an independent mental health practitioner (NE LIMHP 2339) and brings 13 years of professional experience to her clinical work.
She provides care for individuals across the lifespan, addressing stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting concerns, and depression. She also works with children and adolescents ages 4 to 18 who present with severe behavior challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life difficulties.
In addition to direct work with young clients, she collaborates with parents and caregivers of varying ages to address parenting questions, daily life struggles, and the effects of trauma.
Tracy has been described as patient, compassionate, and caring. She is straightforward in her approach, and sessions often feel conversational. With an undergraduate degree in elementary education, she says she likes to “sneak into therapy.” She also adopts a detective-like stance when needed, often uncovering details clients initially consider irrelevant and identifying patterns of behavior or potential triggers.
Her practice emphasizes an open, nonjudgmental environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared safely. She guides clients to set realistic, achievable short-term goals first, with the option to create longer-term goals if and when the client wishes. She may encourage clients to stretch a bit, but not beyond their comfort zone, and she values honesty so that recommendations can be adjusted when something is unlikely to be followed.
Tracy recognizes that beginning therapy takes courage and is proud of individuals who take that first step.
Many people wonder whether online therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
A key advantage is flexibility – individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their needs, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide care, and if someone decides a different therapeutic fit would be better, it is possible to switch therapists at any time.
