Hello! Congratulations, I commend you on your decision to work with a counselor and taking this courageous step in asking for help. The journey of change is a process and a process is a series of steps and you’ve already made the first and sometimes the hardest by seeking help. Again, I commend you.
My name is Tiffany Morgan and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have over 17 years of experience in providing therapeutic support for people presenting or facing various challenges, including but not limited to; depression, anxiety, abuse, anger management, self-esteem, relationship and parenting issues, adjustment issues and personal growth.
I believe that you know your life better than anyone else and that you have the tools to solve and resolve your own challenges and concerns. My role is to help you sharpen those tools in your tool kit that may have become a little rusty or dull along the way. I will assist you by creating a safe space and judge-free zone for you to feel comfortable and supported to speak and feel freely. I will actively listen to you and meet you where you are, both emotionally and situationally. I will talk TO you and not AT you.
I am dedicated to obtaining and maintaining an authentic open and honest working relationship with you. I believe that a mutually honest and respectful relationship between both of us can produce a positive outcome in the therapeutic process. We will work together in the development of your personalized plan for you to utilize a variety of interventions and skills.
My therapeutic approach includes but not limited to:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors and then working to shift on how we think to then evoke change to feelings and behaviors.
• Client Centered Therapy- which focuses on the client making autonomous decisions which affect their lives while the counselor supports the client by accepting and supporting them where they are, without judgement, so the client can make the best decisions possible.
• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)- which focuses on finding solutions to one’s present circumstances and exploring preferred future goals, and the counselor and client works together to generate ideas for solutions
I am passionate about helping others and I’m committed to supporting you on your journey towards positive change and personal growth. I would be honored to work with you.
