Thomas Dukes

Thomas Dukes, LMHC, brings nearly three decades of work across mental health and substance use settings to his psychotherapy practice. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, he entered the field in 1996 and pursued graduate study while working in a range of treatment environments. His early roles included work in a Medicaid dual diagnosis program, a psychiatric crisis stabilization unit, substance use treatment centers, and juvenile intervention services. After earning his license in 2000 he served as a clinician at the Renaissance Institute and later built a practice that provided services to employee assistance programs, sober house residences, and treatment facilities.

In 2010 he relocated to western North Carolina and later spent ten years as a clinical supervisor at Pavillon in Mill Spring, NC until November 2020. He continues to reside in North Carolina while holding active professional credentials in Florida and North Carolina. His listed specialties include stress, anxiety, addictions, relationship and family concerns, grief and depression, trauma and abuse, sexual and intimacy-related issues, ADHD, bipolar and other areas. After many years of full-time work he is now semi-retired but remains available to offer guidance and direction to those seeking support.
