Thania Thanny is an integrative therapist, counsellor and coach who works from a trauma-informed perspective. She supports individuals and couples facing relationship difficulties - whether that involves the way someone relates to themselves or to others - as well as identity challenges and the lasting effects of trauma.
Her work is focused on helping clients move beyond surface-level coping toward greater clarity, emotional connection and durable change. Thania blends counselling and coaching to provide a practical, insight-driven approach that aims for both immediate relief and long-term growth.
She uses an integrative, trauma-informed method that draws on psychodynamic principles, person-centred therapy and cognitive behavioural techniques. Rather than applying a fixed model, Thania adapts each session to a person’s emotional history, current experience and longer-term aims.
For people who feel stuck, disconnected or uncertain of who they are outside their relationships, Thania’s work aims to help them come back to a more authentic sense of self. Together with clients she explores the root causes of what’s weighing them down and builds practical tools to shift long-standing patterns.
Clients can expect a tailored, evidence-informed approach with an emphasis on self-awareness and clarity, a grounded and compassionate space to be fully seen, and culturally attuned practice that honours diverse cultural, faith and relational backgrounds. Thania offers online sessions to increase accessibility.
She works with a range of concerns including trauma and PTSD, past or present relationship struggles, anxiety and depression, emotional disconnection or shutdown and triggers, low self-worth, shame or identity confusion, and intergenerational, cultural or faith-based stress. Thania is a registered member of NCPS and is committed to ethical, professional, client-centred and emotionally attuned practice. If someone is ready to begin this work, she would be honoured to walk alongside them.
