Susan Rair Krug welcomes people who are ready to explore their story and build practical skills for change. With 20 years of clinical experience based in Ohio, she supports individuals working through stress, anxiety, addictions, anger management, self-esteem concerns, and depression.
She is licensed to practice as an independent social worker in Ohio and also holds a clinical social work license in New Hampshire. In addition, she is credentialed as a chemical dependency counselor in both states, allowing her to address substance use concerns alongside other mental health needs.
Susan draws on Cognitive Behavior Therapy, helping people understand the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and teaching strategies to shift those patterns toward the outcomes they want. She emphasizes identifying problem areas while building on each person’s strengths and preferred ways of learning.
Sessions are available through telehealth, and her approach combines open discussion with skill building aimed at achieving the goals a person brings to therapy.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions – online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people. It can offer comparable clinical benefits for those seeking support for these issues.
One major advantage is flexibility. People can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to maintain continuity of care when life is busy or travel is difficult.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different fit would be helpful they can change therapists. For many individuals, the combination of accessibility and evidence-based approaches makes online therapy a practical choice for addressing everyday mental health and life challenges.
