Susan LeClair brings 22 years of clinical experience working with people facing crisis, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and a range of relationship and family challenges. Her background includes helping clients navigate divorce, co-parenting, gender identity and sexual orientation concerns, domestic violence, trauma and sexual abuse, fertility and adoption issues, and career or life transitions.
She works with individuals, couples, and families and addresses a broad spectrum of concerns including stress, bipolar disorder, ADHD, anger management, intimacy-related and parenting difficulties, low self-esteem, compassion fatigue, and other coping challenges. Susan approaches care with strong professional ethics and a non-judgmental attitude, and when a presenting issue falls outside her scope she will refer clients to a more appropriate provider.
Comfort and safety in the therapeutic relationship are central to her work, because trust between therapist and client supports meaningful progress. Susan believes meaningful change emerges from within, and when clients are ready to address their concerns she offers experienced guidance and support. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Connecticut—holding the CT LMFT 1070 credential—and brings over two decades of practice to her clinical work with the Connecticut community.
Many people ask whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits their routine and comfort level, choosing from video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to keep appointments and integrate therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients may choose to switch to a different provider at any time if they prefer a different therapeutic fit. Online therapy offers a practical option for many people seeking consistent, professional support for everyday mental health concerns.
