About

I know how hard it can be to ask someone for help, taking the first step in accessing support is a huge achievement. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental counselling and supervision service where I want you to be yourself and use the safe space to explore whatever it is that’s concerning you. Please get in touch if you need me to listen to whatever seems troublesome. I believe there is a solution to every problem and together, we can find it.

I am an Accredited registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) in the UK, have a specialist Diploma in clinical counselling supervision. and in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). I have undertaken several years of experience and training in the field of domestic and sexual violence, with over thirteen years of professional experience with children, young people and adults. My core approach is person centred which enables me to build a great rapport with my clients and empathise with them using a compassionate, nurturing approach. My aim is to bring back the happiness, confidence, normality and strength to the individual concerned. I have sound knowledge and understanding of ethical boundaries and how to act accordingly in relation to equal opportunities and diversity and I have undertaken safe guarding training with the NSPCC.

Each person is an individual with their own attitudes, beliefs, constructs, behaviours and unique responses to the challenges presented to them. Consequently, I have developed a way of working collaboratively and proactively with each person, inviting them to be actively involved in the selection of counselling strategies and interventions that help facilitate their process. An important part of this journey is empowering individuals to take responsibility for the choices they make when facing life challenges. By identifying and validating their strengths, the therapeutic relationship can contribute positively to transform these challenges into positive outcomes making the impossible possible.

I am compassionate, honest and hardworking individual maintaining professional boundaries and integrity. I am respectful of the autonomy of all people and I strive to create value within my work as well as creating value in others.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people ask whether online therapy can make a real difference. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and life transitions – remote therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face sessions.

One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect with a therapist in the format that suits them best – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit support into a busy life.

All therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapist if they feel another fit would be better. For many people, online therapy provides a practical, accessible route to consistent therapeutic support without sacrificing the quality of care.
