Sue Herring

Sue Herring is licensed in Florida and South Carolina and brings 27 years of professional work experience to her practice. She holds licenses as a professional counselor in South Carolina (SC LPC 8772) and as a mental health counselor in Florida (FL LMHC MH7041).

Her practice includes work with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, illness, grief and loss, coping with life changes, anger, and the process of understanding forgiveness. She approaches challenges by recognizing the strengths each person already has.

Sue believes the individual is the expert of their own story and that it takes courage to pursue a more fulfilling life. She aims to support and empower people as they take initial steps toward change.

Before entering the helping professions she studied Fine Arts and worked in the restaurant industry. In her forties she returned to school, earning a BA in Psychology from Florida State University and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Troy University.

She is trained in multiple methods including CBT, EFT with Matrix Reimprinting, Rapid Resolution Therapy, NET, and Neurofeedback. She does not follow a cookie-cutter approach - she adapts interventions to meet each individual’s needs and preferences.
