Stacy Salmon is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor practicing in North Carolina, bringing 14 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), personality-related difficulties, relationship challenges, substance use concerns, work-related stress, and parenting problems.
A substantial portion of her work centers on crisis intervention, supporting individuals who are contemplating suicide or homicide, experiencing psychosis, or going through withdrawals from substance use. That background has shaped a calm, practical approach to supporting people in urgent and high-risk situations.
Her therapeutic stance is person-centered, grounded in respect for each client as the expert on their own life and at a pace they choose. Stacy employs an eclectic mix of techniques selected to fit each person’s needs, drawing from cognitive-behavioral strategies, humanistic principles, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic ideas.
Stacy emphasizes that mental health deserves the same attention as physical health, and she aims to support clients in taking that first step toward whole-person well-being. She is ready to collaborate with individuals as they pursue lasting change and greater stability.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is convenience – clients can connect in the format that feels most comfortable, whether by video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to fit regular therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals conduct online sessions, and clients have the option to request a different therapist at any time if they want a new fit. For many people, virtual therapy provides a practical, effective way to access professional support without sacrificing quality of care.
