Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Sierra and I am the founder of Power Love Self-Control Counseling (PLS Counseling) and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I work with those of us that struggle with personal issues of our daily lives and I have specifically worked with individuals dealing with severe mental illness. I received my BA in Psychology from Kent State University in 2014. From there I completed my MA in Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2019.
My approach to working with you is to ensure you are making the decisions each step of the way. I will work with you to achieve the goals you set in therapy. We can all use someone to talk to when things are going great but also when we need a little bit more support. Daily life can be stressful enough, it’s good to know someone is there to listen to your concerns, share in your success, and provide a safe space to explore your specific situation.
In our first session we will get to know one another. I’ll ask you questions to understand your expectations for therapy. I’ll provide more information about myself and answer questions you may have about the process. Follow up sessions will be your time to discuss any issues or concerns and ways to overcome barriers to your success in therapy.

Sierra White is the founder of Power Love Self-Control Counseling (PLS Counseling) and a licensed professional clinical counselor practicing in Ohio. She brings three years of direct clinical experience to her work and focuses on helping people manage stress, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and career difficulties.
Sierra earned a BA in Psychology from Kent State University in 2014, then completed an MA in Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary in 2019. Her background includes supporting individuals facing a range of everyday personal challenges as well as those coping with severe mental illness.
Her approach centers on collaboration – clients lead the decision-making process and Sierra partners with them to pursue the goals they set in therapy. In the first session she spends time getting to know each person, asking about expectations for therapy, and answering any questions about how she works. Follow-up sessions become a dedicated space to address concerns, build strategies, and remove barriers that stand in the way of progress.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that works best for them, whether by video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to weave therapy into a busy schedule and maintain continuity of care.
Each therapist involved is a licensed professional, and if someone wants a different fit they can switch therapists at any time. For many individuals, online therapy offers an accessible, practical option for addressing everyday mental health and life challenges.
