Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Sierra and I am the founder of Power Love Self-Control Counseling (PLS Counseling) and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I work with those of us that struggle with personal issues of our daily lives and I have specifically worked with individuals dealing with severe mental illness. I received my BA in Psychology from Kent State University in 2014. From there I completed my MA in Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2019.
My approach to working with you is to ensure you are making the decisions each step of the way. I will work with you to achieve the goals you set in therapy. We can all use someone to talk to when things are going great but also when we need a little bit more support. Daily life can be stressful enough, it’s good to know someone is there to listen to your concerns, share in your success, and provide a safe space to explore your specific situation.
In our first session we will get to know one another. I’ll ask you questions to understand your expectations for therapy. I’ll provide more information about myself and answer questions you may have about the process. Follow up sessions will be your time to discuss any issues or concerns and ways to overcome barriers to your success in therapy.

Sierra White is the founder of Power Love Self-Control Counseling (PLS Counseling) and practices as a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio, holding license OH LPCC E.2202693. She brings three years of clinical experience to her work with individuals facing everyday personal challenges as well as those managing severe mental illness.
Sierra earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University in 2014 and completed a Master of Arts in Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary in 2019. Her practice focuses on stress, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, adapting to life changes, and career-related difficulties.
Her therapeutic approach centers on collaboration and client-led decisions. Sierra partners with clients to define goals and supports them in taking the steps they choose toward those goals. She aims to offer a listening presence during both positive moments and more difficult times, providing a calm, supportive space to explore each person’s situation.
In the first session she takes time to get to know each client, asking about expectations for therapy and explaining the process so any questions can be answered. Follow-up sessions are reserved for addressing current concerns, identifying barriers, and working on practical ways to move forward toward the goals set in therapy.
Many people wonder whether online therapy makes a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – you can connect with a therapist in the way that fits your schedule and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That adaptability makes it easier to weave therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide care through these remote options, and if you decide you need a different fit, it is possible to switch therapists. Online therapy can offer a practical, accessible path to support and growth for many everyday mental health concerns.
