Sharron Lewis is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Louisiana who brings 24 years of experience to her therapeutic work. She earned a Master of Social Work at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2001 and spent two years at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Seattle working in inpatient psychiatry before returning to Louisiana to be near family.
Since 2003 she has worked in child welfare, community mental health, and a private hospital setting. For the past 13 years she has served as Clinical Director of an Intensive Outpatient Program, where she provides both group and individual psychotherapy.
Her therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and Self-Compassion Therapy. She emphasizes body-mind based methods that support healing the brain to heal the mind and that increase body awareness.
