Sarah Nelson offers a person-centred approach to counselling, providing a calm, non-judgemental and empathetic space where clients can explore difficulties at their own pace. She invites people who are feeling sad, anxious or held back by something troubling them to talk through their concerns and consider options for moving forward.
She works with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, relationship and family difficulties, self-esteem, depression, addictions, LGBT concerns, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, career matters, coping with life changes and ADHD. As a female, non-religious therapist she aims to create an accepting environment that values each person’s unique experience.
Sarah is a qualified person-centred counsellor who describes herself as warm and honest, treating each person as an individual and supporting them to make choices that feel right for them. She recognises that starting counselling can feel daunting and is committed to listening, supporting and working collaboratively toward a happier outcome.
Sarah has 5 years of experience and works from the United Kingdom. Her training includes a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and certificates in couples counselling, solution-focused therapy, remote counselling, and working therapeutically with autistic clients, together with Counselling Skills at levels 2 and 3, TA101 and PAPYRUS SPOT training.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can choose the way of connecting that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapy is delivered by licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different fit is needed they can change therapists at any time. For many people, the convenience and accessibility of online work well alongside its clinical effectiveness.
