Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a New Jersey based licensed professional counselor, with seventeen years in the mental health profession, and 40 years of helping individuals, couples, and families to emotional and relational wholeness. I have worked extensively with clients on depression, anxiety, multiple and varied family crises, relationship issues, personal development and emotional issues including anger management, self-doubt, and low self esteem. I have also assisted clients with phobias and obsessive compulsive disorder.
My counseling approach is a mix of cognitive-behavioral and person centered therapies. However, I have employed aspects of narrative, attachment, and psychodynamic theories at various times because each client is different, with varied strengths, comfort levels, and life perceptions.
Finally, I aim to provide genuineness and acceptance first and skill second, because I believe clients need and deserve an environment in which their trust can thrive.
I am at your service!

Richard Campbell is a New Jersey based licensed professional counselor with 15 years of clinical experience helping individuals, couples, and families pursue emotional and relational well-being.
He works with a broad range of concerns including stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, grief, depression, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related matters, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem difficulties, bipolar disorder, ADHD, compassion fatigue, and coping with life changes.
His therapeutic style blends cognitive-behavioral methods with a person-centered orientation, and he also draws on narrative, attachment, and psychodynamic ideas when they fit a client’s needs. He adapts interventions to each person’s unique strengths, comfort level, and perspective.
He emphasizes genuine acceptance and a warm therapeutic presence before techniques and tools, believing that trust provides the foundation for effective work. He is available to support clients in moving toward greater emotional balance and healthier relationships.
Many people ask whether therapy delivered online can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
A key advantage is flexibility – you can meet with a therapist in the format that suits you best, whether by video, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule or to access care when travel or location are barriers.
These services are provided by licensed professionals, and clients may choose to switch therapists if they seek a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, effective option for addressing everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
