Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Missouri with over 20years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including addiction/substance abuse, depression, stress management, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges, and life transitions. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
The central idea in my approach is that people are not “broken”. Everyone makes the best choices they can, based on their experiences and life situation. However, over time those choices and the resulting coping mechanisms may hold you back from growing and reaching your goals.
I am here to help clients reach the goals they set for themselves. My job is to help clients identify new choices that match their values. Together we will work to create movement in your life towards your stated values and goals.
My theoretical approach is eclectic. I am most strongly influenced by the work of Carl Rogers and his Person-Centered approach to therapy. I use a lot of mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Since I do not adhere to a single theoretical approach, I use a variety of techniques that I think will benefit individual clients. I do not have a “one size fits all” mentality when it comes to counseling. If you are interested in addressing career issues, I can administer career assessments including the MBTI, Skill Scan, and the Self-Directed Search.
It takes courage to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Rhonda Piazza is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Missouri with 23 years of clinical experience. Over the course of her career she has worked with people facing addiction and substance use concerns, depression, anxiety and stress, relationship and intimacy difficulties, career challenges, grief, trauma and emotional or physical abuse, and a range of other life transitions and mental health conditions.
She approaches therapy from the belief that people are not “broken”; instead, individuals make the best choices available to them given their history and current circumstances. Over time, those choices and the coping strategies that develop can limit growth and keep a person from moving toward their goals.
Rhonda’s role is to help clients clarify the goals they set for themselves and to identify alternative choices that align with their values. Working together, she supports clients in creating forward movement toward the changes they want to make in their lives.
Her clinical style is eclectic, with a strong influence from Carl Rogers and the person-centered tradition. She integrates mindfulness practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy so techniques are matched to each individual’s needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. For clients addressing work or vocational concerns, she can administer career assessments such as the MBTI, Skill Scan, and the Self-Directed Search.
Beginning therapy takes courage, and Rhonda is available to support and empower clients as they take those first steps. She looks forward to working with new clients and helping them pursue the changes they want to make.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions – online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care. It can be a practical option for people seeking support for everyday mental health challenges.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that works best for them – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy offers an accessible way to work toward personal goals with a trained therapist while maintaining options around how and when sessions occur.
