She has worked with adults, children, and adolescents in various treatment settings and modalities over the past 25 years. She is invested in keeping current with the most current research in the counseling field. She specializes in the areas of substance abuse treatment and intimate partner violence. She has worked with intimate partner violence survivors for over ten years and in the substance abuse field for over five years. Her counseling style is grounded on evidence-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy however it is tailored to include Humanistic Therapy as well. Dr. Rebecca Sinclair is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with three decades of clinical experience. She earned a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Dayton in 1997 and completed a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University in 2016.
Over the past 25 years she has worked with adults, children, and adolescents across a variety of treatment settings and modalities, and she continues to stay current with evolving research in the counseling field. Her areas of focus include substance abuse treatment and support for survivors of intimate partner violence – she has worked with intimate partner violence survivors for more than ten years and has been involved in the substance abuse field for over five years. In addition, she addresses concerns such as stress, anxiety, addictions, self-esteem, depression, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, anger management, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, coaching, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy, adapted to incorporate Humanistic Therapy when appropriate. Dr. Rebecca Sinclair views each person’s beliefs, spirituality, and strengths as tools that can be mobilized to create practical solutions and clear paths toward the goals the individual identifies.
