Rebecca Dykes

Rebecca Dykes, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of mental health experience in Florida. In addition to clinical work, she serves as a college professor and Department Chair, and she brings an academic curiosity to her practice through ongoing interests in theology, neurotheology, and the ways these areas intersect with neuroscience. She is Certified in Biblical Counseling and incorporates faith-based modalities for clients who want that support integrated into counseling.

She holds a strong commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals as they navigate a predominantly neurotypical world. To further inform this focus, she is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and a Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist, blending structured skills with a grounded, person-centered stance. Her aim is to meet people where they are, offer steady guidance through hard seasons, and walk alongside clients as they build resilience and practical coping strategies.

Across her career, Rebecca has worked in a wide range of settings, including inpatient and outpatient care, forensic and court systems, and community development. Her experience includes working with children facing attachment concerns and sensory dysregulation, adolescents working on emotional regulation, executive functioning, and peer relationships, and adults dealing with domestic violence, anxiety, or addictions. She has also supported active duty military members facing deployment, reintegration, and related stressors, and she considers it a privilege to assist pastors and ministry leaders navigating the demands of ministry life or spiritual burnout.

Her style is direct while remaining warm, respectful, and compassionate, and she avoids stigmatizing labels. She offers some Saturday phone sessions and evening text sessions by request, and invites clients to message her if those options are needed.
