Rebecca Dries is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health practicing in Delaware. She earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta, a program accredited by CACREP. While at Mercer she was an active member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International, Mu Upsilon Alpha Chapter. She also holds national certification as a counselor from the National Board for Certified Counselors.
With 5 years of clinical experience, Rebecca works with a diverse range of adult clients across the lifespan. She specializes in supporting people with severe and persistent mental illness diagnoses, including Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Personality Disorders, and she provides crisis intervention. She is also experienced in treating Depression, Anxiety, Complex Trauma, and in offering affirming care to LGBTQ individuals.
Rebecca is committed to social justice and to expanding access to quality, inclusive, and culturally informed mental health care. She approaches therapy primarily from a Person-Centered perspective, emphasizing acceptance and meeting each person where they are. Her work is individualized, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Feminist Theory as needed. She has also completed training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed approaches.
Rebecca holds state licensure as a professional counselor for mental health in Delaware (DE LPMHC PC-0000901) and is a National Certified Counselor. She looks forward to the opportunity to work with individuals seeking support.
