Dr. Ratha Zeidan-Lukacs is a family and marriage therapist licensed to practice in both Florida and Virginia, bringing 15 years of clinical experience to her work. She supports people facing trauma, grief, stress and anxiety, low motivation, self-esteem concerns, depression, and the challenges of life transitions.
She creates an open, nonjudgmental space where clients can express thoughts and feelings honestly. Dr. Zeidan-Lukacs works with couples, families, individuals, groups, children, and adolescents, and emphasizes the importance of strengthening and empowering family relationships.
As a faith-based therapist who identifies with Christian and Catholic traditions, she encourages a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit as part of the healing process. Her clinical orientation draws on existential and humanistic perspectives while employing solution-focused techniques and cognitive behavioral interventions.
Dr. Zeidan-Lukacs values the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for change and combines a whole-person approach with collaborative goal-setting. She tailors interventions to each individual, offering an individualized framework of therapeutic goals and actively guiding clients toward the changes they seek.
She recognizes that moving beyond past wounds often involves identifying recurring emotional upsets, and that beginning therapy takes courage and a leap of faith. She reflects the belief expressed by St. John Paul II: “We are not the sum of our weaknesses and failures, we are the sum of the Father’s love for us and our real capacity to become the image of His Son Jesus.” (St. JPII, 2008)
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, research and clinical practice show that virtual sessions can be as effective as in-person counseling for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility - individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their routine and comfort level, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to attend sessions consistently and integrate therapeutic work into daily life.
Therapists providing online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different match. For many, remote therapy provides a practical, effective way to address mental health and relationship concerns while maintaining the support and guidance of a trained clinician.
