Rachel Anthony is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker in Australia with seven years' experience supporting people affected by trauma. She has worked with survivors of sexual assault and abuse, childhood trauma, family violence, and with those facing relationship challenges.
She also supports people experiencing anxiety, depression, major life transitions, and difficulties with self-esteem and confidence. Her practice is gentle, trauma-informed and person-centred, and she integrates Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness and somatic practices to support recovery and wellbeing.
Rachel views therapy as both a way to work through pain and a process of gradually reconnecting with oneself, cultivating safety and fostering deeper self-compassion. Reaching out for support is recognised as a courageous step, and she would be honoured to walk alongside clients, providing a safe and supportive space as they move toward greater resilience, self-trust and wellbeing.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most common issues.
A major advantage is flexibility - you can choose to connect in the way that suits you best, whether that is by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists at any time if they would prefer a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, practical option to start or continue therapeutic work.
