Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! My name is Paula Peterson. I have been a practicing counselor since 2007. I am licensed professional counselor in Wisconsin and Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire. I am grateful that you are reading my profile and if you connect to what I am sharing, please contact me.
It takes courage and humility to seek out help. Great job noticing your need and taking the step to get your need met!!
I chose the counseling field because of seeing the power of being vulnerable with the struggles of our lives and being cared for in that vulnerability. I know that our mental health is just as important as taking care of the other aspects of ourselves. I obtained a degree in Mental Health Counseling from University of Wisconsin-Stout. I have practiced in a day treatment and outpatient setting. I have worked successfully with adults and adolescents. I bring to my practice the belief that we as humans have in us, an innate ability to work through life’s struggles. I seek to tap into that ability within our counseling relationship. I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, self worth and self esteem, life transitions, grief and loss, and anger management. I also enjoy working with addictions, depression and spiritual struggles.
Lastly, if what I have shared fits for you, please reach out. I look forward to getting to know you and walking with you at this time in your journey. If what I have shared does not fit, I hope you are able to find a good fit for you and your needs.

Paula earned a degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and has practiced in both day treatment and outpatient settings. She brings experience addressing trauma, anxiety, self-worth and self-esteem concerns, life transitions, grief and loss, and anger management. She also works with addictions, depression, spiritual struggles, relationship difficulties, family conflict, compassion fatigue, career challenges, and coping with significant life changes.
Paula’s approach is grounded in the belief that people have an innate capacity to navigate life’s challenges, and she aims to draw out that capacity within the therapeutic relationship. She welcomes contact from people who feel her background and focus may be a good match, and she hopes anyone who does not feel a fit will find a therapist who meets their needs.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care. It can be a practical option for people seeking support for these kinds of challenges.
One of the main advantages of remote counseling is convenience. Clients can meet with therapists in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level – video sessions, phone appointments, live chat, or in-app messaging – making it easier to integrate therapy into a busy life.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and if someone feels they need a different match, they can switch therapists at any time. Online therapy offers a flexible way to access professional support while keeping the same focus on therapeutic progress and personal growth.
