Paige Whiteley has over 15 years of post-qualifying experience in private and organisational integrative counselling, with person-centred therapy at her core. She is accredited with the BACP and is a member of COSRT.
Paige qualified with a Diploma in Counselling from Joseph Priestley College in 2011 and went on to complete a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Leeds Becket University in 2014. She progressed to a Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision at UCLAN and more recently qualified as an EMDR and coaching practitioner. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Psychosexual Therapy.
Her early work included ongoing training and one academic year supporting children aged 5-11 with one-to-one therapeutic interventions, along with designing and delivering workshops for school staff to help build and maintain peer relationships. She has three years of experience addressing mental health issues within an organisation, working with adults aged 18 and over presenting with trauma, loss and bereavement, fertility issues, relationship difficulties, depression and anxiety, abuse and family problems.
Paige spent twelve years at a South Yorkshire based mental health charity providing support to people aged 18 plus who were experiencing trauma, during which she completed additional training in trauma and related fields. She currently runs a private practice based in Tingley and is committed to offering a safe and confidential environment where clients can explore their thoughts, address anxiety, depression, trauma and life difficulties, and work to change limiting beliefs that may be holding them back.
Many people ask whether remote therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and managing life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person work for most people.
One of the main benefits is flexibility - clients can choose the format that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals deliver online therapy using approaches tailored to individual needs, and clients have the option to change therapists at any time if they would prefer a different fit.
