Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Nusrat Karim, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I graduated with my Master’s from Florida International University. My life’s goal is to end mental health stigma wherever I go, and to help bring awareness in the communities I work in and with the individuals that I work with. I strongly believe that therapy is to help someone get through a difficult experience, and to help individuals and families heal in the process. My main therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioral health, but I also like to use person centered therapy, brief solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and I like to incorporate mindfulness in my practice. I have experience working with both adults and youth. I have experience working with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, anger management, adjustment disorder, poor coping skills and social skills. I am able to build good rapport quickly, and I have been told by others that I have good communication skills. I am able to actively listen without judgement, show empathy and be honest with others.
I look forward to meeting and working with you!
