Norene Vello is a licensed professional counselor in Ohio who holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. She brings 20 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges.
She views therapy as a collaborative journey and offers compassionate, nonjudgmental support to help individuals move through bumps and roadblocks. Norene aims to be present, to listen, and to guide clients without criticism or condemnation.
Over the years she has worked with people ranging in age from 6 to 82, helping them better understand themselves and find peace with their struggles. Her clinical toolkit includes cognitive and achievement assessments, mindfulness breathing exercises, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
For 18 years she has participated in and co-facilitated small women’s groups that draw on Biblical principles, spiritual mindfulness, meditation, prayer, journaling, art, nature, music, CBT, positive therapy, and psychotherapy. These groups have addressed depression, anxiety, self-esteem and self-confidence issues, abuse, and self-destructive behavior patterns.
Her approach to psychotherapy considers the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual dimensions of a person, based on the understanding that distress in one area affects the whole self. She emphasizes belonging, acceptance, meaning, and purpose as components of ongoing well-being that develop from childhood onward.
Her goals in every session include safety, peace, well-being, health, contentment, healing, and wholeness in God. She welcomes the opportunity to walk alongside anyone who chooses to invite her into that process.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person treatment.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that works best for them, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to maintain continuity of care when life circumstances change.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if a different fit is desired, a client can switch therapists. For many people facing everyday mental health and relationship concerns, online therapy offers an accessible, effective option for getting support.
