Nina Foster congratulates anyone who has taken the important step of seeking support for their well-being. Whether someone is new to counseling or has worked with a counselor before, she believes it is always an appropriate time to focus on personal growth and healing.
Nina’s clinical background includes work with teenagers in residential settings as well as community-based work with individuals and families. She earned a Master of Counseling degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and spent eight years working in a correctional setting where she served as a counselor and managed mental health services. She later moved into a director role at a nonprofit agency that delivers mental health services in residential programs for youth and young adults, outpatient care, and day treatment programs. In that leadership position she came to miss direct, one-on-one work and now looks forward to returning to individual therapeutic work to help clients move toward improved well-being.
Nina is licensed to practice as a professional counselor in both Texas and Oregon and brings 13 years of experience to her clinical work. She strives to provide a nonjudgmental space grounded in respect, empathy, and genuineness, using a client-centered, solution-focused approach that meets people where they are. Nina looks forward to supporting individuals as they work toward a better place.
Many people wonder whether working with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face care.
A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility - clients can choose the format that fits their needs and comfort level, including video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. That range of options can make it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
These services are delivered by licensed professionals, and clients may opt to switch therapists if they feel a different fit would better meet their needs. Online therapy can be a practical, accessible way to pursue support for everyday mental health concerns.
