Nicole Schellinger is a licensed counselor who practices in both Ohio and South Carolina and brings 18 years of clinical experience to her work. She began counseling in 2006 and spent 15 years working in a community behavioral health setting before offering sessions through an online counseling service for the past two years.
Her approach to counseling is warm and inviting while remaining focused on each person’s individual needs. She emphasizes meeting clients where they are, approaching sessions with understanding and compassion, and partnering with clients to identify practical treatment goals.
Nicole draws on techniques from several evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, life changes, addictions, LGBT issues, family conflicts, grief, eating and sleeping disorders, anger management, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, depression, compassion fatigue, and ADHD. She holds an undergraduate degree in addictions studies from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. She is licensed to practice in Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and in South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Nicole looks forward to the possibility of working with individuals who are ready to take steps on their mental health journey.
