Nicole Forester welcomes new clients and acknowledges the energy it takes to seek support. She offers non-judgmental listening intended to help people hear their own voice and find clarity.
She invites clients to speak directly and as unedited as they feel comfortable, believing that expressing one’s full truth is a strong starting point for therapeutic work.
Nicole is licensed to practice counseling in both Colorado and California and holds national board certification in music therapy. With 16 years of clinical experience, she brings a blend of counseling and music therapy training to her work.
She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy at Utah State University in 2002 and completed an internship at Bethany Children’s Home in Pennsylvania. Nicole earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2007.
Her professional background spans university neuropsychiatric and inpatient units, addiction recovery and outpatient addiction services including dual-diagnosis care, in-home crisis work with youth, hospice services for children and teens, outpatient and intensive-outpatient group programs, and a private practice she established and maintained in San Francisco from 2012 to 2019.
She encourages prospective clients to interview therapists to find the right fit and welcomes inquiries to discuss the type of support being sought. Nicole makes herself available to answer questions about the process and values the difference an objective listener can make. She acknowledges the courage it takes to ask for help and hopes to connect with those seeking care.
Many people ask whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care for most individuals.
An important benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the format that suits them best, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy life.
Each therapist is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to change therapists if they seek a different fit. Online therapy can provide accessible, professional support for many everyday mental health needs.
