I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky with over 13 years of experience as a clinical counselor. I have worked with clients with various concerns over the years. I am most passionate about helping people discover and embrace their personal power to cultivate positive change and create their most meaningful life. I enjoy working with people who have a good life but recognize they may need to more fully tap into their personal power to make positive change and bring that “missing” something into reality.
My approach is practical, interactive and empowering. I believe that what happens outside of a therapy session is significant to a successful outcome of therapy. That is why my approach includes practical homework for outside of therapy sessions. Real change happens in small, realistic steps-and my passion is helping you find your unique steps and supporting you while you take those steps.
My intention is that anyone who works with me is inspired, motivated, and empowered to do what is needed to accomplish their most important goals. I believe everyone needs to be treated with compassion, kindness, and respect. I do not support stigmatizing or marginalizing labels. I approach each person as unique, valued, and believe everyone brings their own wisdom along with questions and goals to the therapeutic process.
I have a diverse background in personal growth and self-discovery approaches, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Transactual Analysis, Therapeutic Story Telling, and Object Relations. I also have studied Eastern Based Philosophies and Energy Therapies like Reiki and Buddhism. I enjoy creative, holistic approaches to personal growth and self-discovery, including integrating all I know customized for the person’s unique needs and goals.
