Natasha Wagner brings 20 years of experience as a counselor and life coach, based in Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Western Michigan University and has classroom experience teaching at the preschool and early elementary levels. In addition to her classroom work, she has training as a birth and postpartum doula.
She earned a Master of Arts in Community Agency Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Michigan University and is licensed to practice as a professional counselor in both Michigan and Arizona, credentials that reflect the formal education and supervised clinical experience required by those states. Her pronouns are she/her.
Natasha spent five years providing counseling to elderly residents in long-term care facilities in Branch County, Michigan. More recently she has combined her clinical work with a focus on multiculturalism - she is a certified diversity trainer through the National Coalition Building Institute and spent twelve years supporting international high school exchange students throughout every aspect of their program experience, from placement to ongoing support during the program year.
In 2013 she completed training at Bennett Stellar University in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and hypnotherapy, adding coaching skills that complement her counseling background. Her therapeutic approach is flexible and draws on her full range of training to support individuals across the life cycle and from diverse backgrounds.
Natasha’s counseling style is warm, compassionate, and interactive. She uses an eclectic blend of cognitive behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, mindfulness practices, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and hypnotherapy to help clients reach their goals. Together she helps clients examine the messages they have absorbed from the world and reframe the subconscious narratives they tell themselves so they can pursue greater peace, happiness, and success.
Her areas of specialty include stress and anxiety, LGBT concerns, relationship and family issues, grief, trauma and abuse, sleeping difficulties, anger, self-esteem, depression, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue. She looks forward to getting to know you.
