Dr. Nancy Simpson

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi there! I am Dr. Nancy Simpson, licensed clinical psychologist in South Carolina. Currently retired from a 30- year, rewarding teaching career at our local community college, I yearn to give back. Early in my career I was a practicing psychologist and worked in both in-patient and out-patient settings, performed neuropsychological assessments, and diagnosed & assessed mental illness. But, I found my bliss in academic psychology. Now it’s time to return to my roots to help others. I am well trained, compassionate, and bring mutual respect and caring to therapy.

When not teaching or mentoring, you can find me on my hobby farm, milking my goats, making cheese, tending my honey bees, spinning, weaving, working as a historic craft interpreter and generally enjoying life. If you think we’d be a fit on your journey of exploration and/or healing, I’d be delighted to work with you.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. A key benefit is the flexibility it offers. Individuals can choose the format that feels best for them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule. Licensed professionals provide online care, and if clients decide they would prefer a different therapeutic match, it is possible to switch to another therapist. Online therapy can be a practical, effective option for many people seeking support.
