Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the state of Wyoming (LPC #432). I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA degree and obtained a master’s degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. I have over 20 years of experience in private practice in the field of psychotherapy. Because I practice in rural Wyoming, I am a generalist in terms of the types of mental health issues I address and the demographics of my clients.
I am also a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider (NBCC) and a Certified Meditation Instructor (AIHCP)>
I make it my practice to treat each client with “unconditional positive regard.” Each of us has positive qualities and areas in which we can improve. I see mental health therapy as a collaboration between the client and myself.
My therapy style has also been tailored to the needs of a wide range of clients. The type of therapy provided is decided upon by mutual agreement between my client and me. Typically, more than one style of therapy is used throughout sessions. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, rational emotive therapy, and compassionate psychology therapy are primarily used.
Therapy is about understanding one’s actions, learning new techniques and skills to develop improved communication and coping skills, and then putting those to use with the support, encouragement, and assistance of your therapist.

Nancy Preuit is a licensed counselor practicing in Wyoming with 25 years of experience in private psychotherapy. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wyoming and completed a master’s degree at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She holds a professional counseling license in Wyoming (LPC 432) and is board certified to provide telemental health services; she is also a certified meditation instructor.
Practicing in rural Wyoming has shaped Nancy into a generalist who works with a wide range of mental health needs and client demographics. She addresses concerns including stress, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, relationship and family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related and parenting issues, anger management, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, and depression.
Nancy approaches therapy with unconditional positive regard, viewing the work as a collaborative effort between the client and therapist. She and the client mutually decide on the therapeutic approach, and sessions often draw from more than one method. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, rational emotive therapy, and compassionate psychology therapy are among the primary approaches she uses. Her work focuses on helping people understand their actions, learn practical skills for communication and coping, and apply those skills with the support and encouragement of their therapist.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for addressing those issues.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that fits their needs and schedule, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit regular therapy into busy lives and to continue care when in-person visits are not feasible.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they prefer a different fit. For many people, the combination of clinical expertise and flexible access makes online therapy a practical and effective way to pursue mental health goals.
