My name is Naemmy Thompson LCSW. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Jersey. I have worked in the mental health field for over 6 years, and my expertise is related to working with individuals that experience Trauma and hardships such as Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence, Loss and etc, as well as symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I specialize in working with all ages with trauma, especially with children ages 9 until 17. I have also assisted parents in improving their parenting skills to manage their children’s behaviors and bettering their communication. I have provided couple counseling using the marriage links perspective. Also, using a Christian perspective for those interested to deal with their mental health.
My therapeutic lens is person centered in which my clients are seen as the expert in their lives, while I assist and guide them through interpersonal changes, and healing. As well, as using a TFCBT perspective to address thought distortion impacted by their Trauma.
My goal is to assist people in working towards healing their wounds connected to their trauma. In addition to regaining a new perspective on life.
