Monika Scott-Rogers invites people to explore how the past can influence the present and, at times, take control of daily life.
She acknowledges that people do their best with the skills they have, and that efforts to overcome pain, trauma, fear, or heartache do not always feel sufficient. Although the past cannot be changed, Monika believes those broken pieces can be reassembled into something whole and beautiful, drawing on the image of kintsugi - the art of repairing pottery with a gold bond.
Practicing since 2010, Monika brings 15 years of clinical experience and training in a range of evidence-based approaches. She aims to provide a calm space for processing thoughts and for expanding a client’s coping toolbox, while tailoring treatment to the individual and the systems that surround them, such as family or peers.
Monika holds a South Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor credential (SC LPC 7436) and is committed to serving people who are ready to participate in their own wellbeing. Her goal is to offer a therapeutic relationship where clients can heal, grow, and learn.
