Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, my name is Monica. First, let me say that it takes a level of fortitude to ask for help from anyone, let alone a stranger. It is different than the bravery it takes to protect our country or our cities, different than the bravery it takes to walk into a room full of people, and even different than what it takes to perform on stage or on an athletic field. So please take a moment to acknowledge your inner strength!
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have worked in the mental health field for 21 years in some capacity, including community mental health, forensic assessment, and school counseling. What I find most gratifying is that “light bulb” moment when the person in front of me realizes and understands their worth, their strength, or that sense of connecting the dots which is so empowering for growth. I work with the individual to help them see past the personal obstacles that brought them to me in the first place and be able to find the happiness or feel relief they seek. I listen, I accept, and I coach you into a better state of mental balance. My approach to therapy is to challenge thoughts and behaviors that impede productive living. Having said that, I also like to tailor my technique to the person I’m interacting with. I place most of my focus on our therapeutic relationship, which is the key to our success. I have training in Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I work with those struggling with anxiety, grief, life changes, stress, or whatever else might interfere with living the life you deserve.
So pull up a “couch” (your favorite chair or happy place, because with BetterHelp, you can do this wherever you feel most comfortable and safe) and let’s get started. I am ready to listen and do what I can to help.

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns like stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – you can connect with a therapist in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to include therapy in a busy life.
Therapists who provide remote services are licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different match would be more helpful, they can switch therapists at any time.
