Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi,
My name is Midge Spong. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from UNC- Chapel Hill in 1993 with my Master’s in Social Work. I am also a Certified Life Coach, which basically means I can help people figure out what they want to do, or where they want to go, and help them figure out how to achieve these goals. In addition to this, I also have certifications in Career, Health, and Retirement coaching.
I am experienced in working with people who are dealing with stress, anxiety, parenting, family and workplace issues, as well as grief and loss. I also have experience, and especially enjoy, helping people with their career planning and health coaching.
I approach counseling with the philosophy that we heal best when we feel heard and understood. I also think that sometimes a fresh perspective, or someone to offer a thought-provoking question or insight, helps us see things differently, and can often lift us up. I consider myself privileged to help people share, explore, and discover more about themselves.
Everyone has challenges and frustrations, but we also have strengths and skills. I love to help people see the strengths they often overlook and figure out how to use them to overcome their challenges and create the life they want! If that sounds like what you are looking for, I look forward to talking with you!

If that approach fits what someone is seeking, she welcomes the opportunity to talk with them.
Online therapy can be an effective option for many common concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. For these kinds of issues, research and practice show that virtual sessions can offer results comparable to traditional in-person work for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that works best for them, whether that is video calls, phone conversations, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to connect from wherever a person is located.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, online therapy provides a practical, accessible way to address everyday mental health and life challenges while keeping care consistent and adaptable to changing needs.
